"Ninjutsu was not actually "Ninjutsu" right from the start. It started out as "Shinobi methods" (Shinobi no Ho), meaning methods for discerning what is right for the world, enduring, training to become a moral being, becoming aware of one's destiny, and dedicating one's life to other people or the world as a whole. These later became known as Ninpo, and later still Ninjutsu. The original sense was not one of mere Jutsu (techniques), but rather that of Ho (laws or principles) permeating the entire universe. Bujinkan means “Divine Warrior House.” It is an international organization with its hombu dojo in Chiba Prefecture in Japan. Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu has its roots in feudal martial arts and warriorship and its branches and leaves in modern combat and de-escalation. It is comprised of nine Ryuha as taught to Hatsumi Masaaki Soke by Toshitsugu Takamatsu.

Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu incorporates both physical and philosophical aspects, trains both with and without weapons and is a complete system of selfdefense. As well, it's a lot of fun!
